Would Bill Belichick be good on TV? Scott Zolak weighs in
Bill Belichick was the star of the weekend in Foxboro, as Gillette Stadium hosted the Army-Navy game for the first time ever. Belichick was featured on ESPN’s College Game Day as a guest game picker. While the head coach received great marks across the board for his media appearance, Zolak can’t help but think that Bill would be fantastic as a TV analyst.
Zo thinks Belichick would make a great TV analyst
“We’ve talked about it like he was always good on those pre-Super Bowl shows. And when he’s done some of the stuff like the Rich Eisen stuff at the Top 100 and he actually went there and stayed there for two days to talk about each and every one of those guys. Like, he can do it if he wants to. But like we keep talking about his job. And part of it was for the people like, “oh, you’ll never be able to do TV because he’s a he’s an old curmudgeon.”
“You’re not going to get the Bill Belichick from press conferences that you’re going to get on TV like he did the other day. Not that he was something over-the-top phenomenal on Saturday, it’s exactly what I expect them to do. Go up there and talk the historical part, see Lee Corso kiss his butt for a while because he and his dad crossed paths back in the day. Standard Bill. That’s standard Bill on TV, and I think it could be even better. Not a lot better. But that’s for the people that said, “he’ll never do TV. Who else would want him for TV?” Oh, there would be people.
