“I think Mac Jones’s season ended with that touchdown pass to Hunter Henry—the one that he just roped down the sideline. My initial reaction was, ‘Okay, that’s probably it for Mac’s 2023.’ I don’t blame any of the players for saying, ‘We desperately needed that.’ If you’ve ever been around a bad NFL team at this time of year, those locker rooms are like fricking graveyards. Players are beat up; they have nothing left to play for. It’s about getting to the end of the season.”
The guys also explored the individual motivations within the team, acknowledging that players are not only playing for the team but also for their own future contracts. The discussion touched on notable performances by players like Mike Onwenu and Jabrill Peppers, highlighting their resilience under the current circumstances.
The Patriots are currently enjoy an extended week to get ready for a major test in Week 15 as the Kansas City Chiefs come to Gillette Stadium, who just lost to the Buffalo Bills.
