Is Mac Jones turning into the next Grayson Allen?
Dirty or bratty?
Marc Bertrand: It’s not a good look for Mac (Jones). It really isn’t because this is not the first time someone’s called them out on something like this. It is.
Hardy: He’s reminding me more and more of Grayson Allen when he does stuff like this.
Marc Bertrand: Oh, that’s a good comp and Grayson Allen is kind of more dirty in my mind.
Hardy: He is dirty, but it’s the same stuff. It’s the waving your leg around trying to get somebody in the groin. It’s grabbing an ankle after you get knocked to the ground. Sauce Gardner is not in any danger of, you know, losing any function below the belt as a result of what happened. I don’t think Mac is, you know, going to hurt anybody. To your point Zo, he’s not Ndamukong Suh. He’s not stomping on the forearm of a quarterback. You know, he’s not to injure anybody. It’s just, it’s petty annoyances that other players, it’s trying to get a reaction out of them. And it’s almost, you know, would he be doing this if he wasn’t the quarterback? Would he be trying to get away with this stuff?
Scott Zolak: No, because rules protect the quarterback.
Hardy: Right. That’s what makes it worse.
Scott Zolak: It doesn’t work both ways. And that’s why other players are pissed. That’s why you see guys tweeting about it, talking about it, because if we can’t touch you, don’t F with us. Don’t instigate because we can’t retaliate. We’re not allowed to do that. So stop being a brat. They’ve talked about it, I guess with him, you know, the emotions, showing up sideline, the pettiness of it, I don’t know. It’s bratty. It’s not dirty, it’s bratty. He’s not a dirty player. He’s a bratty player. Now, I don’t know if that’s going to ever change. We’re in what year 3 now?
Marc Bertrand: I just think a bratty player is one that you call a bratty player based on his reactions on the field. A dirty player is when you’re now doing things to other players.
