Massachusetts: Whisky Festival With “Unlimited Tastings” Coming To Boston
The SoWa Power Station on Harrison Ave will be the place to be on Friday, September 15th. The Whisky X will be hosting their infamous Whisky Festival in Boston for one night only.
The Whisky X, is best described as the total whisky experience. Since 2017, the organization has been holding events in major cities around the country to bring whiskey enthusiasts together and to educate people on the different styles of this popular adult spirit. These gatherings have now grown to take on a proper festival form.
This year in Boston, the event will be hosted by Paul Janeway of St. Paul and the Broken Bones. “We invite you to taste, discover, and learn about more than 60 premium whiskey brands and cocktails–the best of Bourbon, American, Irish, Scotch, Rye, Single Malt, and more as part of our WhiskyX event in Boston,” WhiskyX says.
What To Expect
The team behind WhiskyX personally curated the selection of flavors available to ticketholders in attendance. Upon entry, you are welcomed to unlimited tastings throughout the evening.
Event Details
The festival begins at 7 pm for General Admission. However, if you purchase a VIP ticket, you are able to enter at 6 pm for one hour of exclusive access to the unlimited tastings. You’ll also be first in line at the food truck village onsite (vendors to be announced soon).
WhiskyX often pairs these festivals with cigar options as well. For example, the upcoming date in Nashville will have a cigar lounge onsite in addition to cigar membership opportunities.
Though WhiskyX has not posted every detail or partner yet. More information is expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks as to how you can enjoy this one-of-a-kind Boston Whisky Festival next month.
Bucketlisters – Boston does have earlier bird ticket options available now, however.
3 Boston Area Cigar Bars You Need To Know About
In a market overview report by Straits Research, it was reported that the cigar industry is projected to reach $114,355.50 million by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 11.90% during the forecast period (2022-2030). Currently, there are dozens of locations in the greater Boston area where you can go to purchase an authentic cigar. We have compiled a list of Boston area cigar bars you need to know about.
As the weather turns warmer, people tend to get out more and seek locations that offer a lounge-style atmosphere. A local cigar bar can serve as a destination gathering or as your nightcap spot to wind down. Holt’s Clubhouse describes the setting as, “The best cigar bars are outfitted with a powerful air purification system, meaning your spouse or non-cigar-smoking friends won’t mind hanging out with you while you smoke. This is the ultimate environment to enjoy a cigar.”
Furthermore, it is not uncommon to find cigar bars offering more than their smokes. Whether it’s a dining experience or entertainment, there’s reason to stay at the establishment longer than the duration of a smoke.
Do Your Cigar Homework
Though many local cigar bars welcome a walk-in experience, it is best to know in advance what you are getting yourself into. With regulations, as you can imagine, there are restrictions to blowing smoke in a public space. In addition, Holt’s Clubhouse also has a great list of etiquette to be aware of. This includes how to cut your cigar, how to control your mouth, and a few other common courtesies.
Where To Go
We considered a few key attributes to compile our list of Boston area cigar bars you need to know about. We reviewed location, what the bar offers, and how it differentiates from others in the region.
