Bruno Caboclo received a training camp deal with the Boston Celtics, and he’ll have to try to compete for a roster spot, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Caboclo is a Brazilian basketball player who last was on an NBA team in the 2020-2021 season with the Houston Rockets, he only appeared in six games. His best season was in 2018-2019 with the Memphis Grizzlies, when he averaged 8.3 points, 4.6 rebounds 1.5 assists and a block per game in 34 games as a 23-year-old.
The 6-foot-8, 220-pounder played in Brazil this past season, averaging 18.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals and two blocks while shooting 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from three, according to Real GM.
Caboclo is now 26 years old and attempts to play for his fifth NBA team. His addition to the Celtics would add depth at both the small forward and power forward positions.
