The Boston Red Sox announced a pair of COVID-19-related roster moves on Sunday ahead of their game against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park.

Left-handed reliever Matt Strahm is being placed on the COVID-19-related Injured List, the team announced. In his place, they are recalling right-handed reliever Hirokazu Sawamura from Triple-A Worcester.

Boston dealt with minor COVID issues throughout the month of May. Lefty Rich Hill and utility man Kiké Hernández were both placed on COVID reserve on May 6. Hernández was reinstated the following day, while Hill missed a week of action.

The Red Sox and Orioles play the rubber match of their extended five-game series, which is tied 2-2, on Sunday night in Boston.
