A pair of Kenyan runners each won the men’s and women’s elite races at the 126th running of the Boston Marathon on Monday. Evans Chebet won the men’s race with a time of 2:06:51, while Peres Jepchirchir won the women’s race with a time of 2:21:01.

Jepchirchir beat out women’s runner-up Ababel Yeshaneh of Ethiopia by four seconds, while Chebet beat men’s runner-up Lawrence Cherono, also of Kenya, by 30 seconds.

In the wheelchair races, Maryland native Daniel Romanchuk won the men’s race in 1:26:58, while Manuela Schär dominated the women’s race, finishing in 1:41:08. Schär beat women’s runner-up Susannah Scaroni by more than five minutes.
