The Celtics signed forward Juwan Morgan to a 10-day contract on Monday, per Shams Charania.
Morgan previously played with the Celtics’ G-League affiliate, the Maine Celtics, throughout this season. The six-foot-seven forward 12.1 points per game this season with Maine playing just under 26 minutes per night. The 24-year-old also played one game this season with Toronto after his first two seasons in the NBA with Utah.
Morgan played in college at Indiana, shooting 56.2 percent from the field and averaged 10.7 points per game in his career for the Hoosiers.
The move gives the Celtics further depth in the frontcourt to close out the regular season. Morgan joins Grant Williams, Daniel Theis, Luke Kornet, Sam Hauser, and Al Horford when he returns among the bigs for the Celtics.
