As the New England Patriots head into day four of NFL free agency week, they still have yet to sign a player to a deal longer than two years or more than $9 million. At the same time, a number of notable free agents remain available entering Thursday, and the Patriots will have at least $13 million in salary cap space (per Miguel Benzan) with the ability to clear much more.
It wasn’t the Pats, but the AFC East rival Buffalo Bills, who made the biggest move in the conference on Wednesday with the signing of Von Miller to a six-year deal worth up to $120 million. Josh McDaniels and the Las Vegas Raiders landed Chandler Jones. Za’Darius Smith joined the Baltimore Ravens.
But as of this writing, notable free agents still available include wide receiver Allen Robinson, linebacker Bobby Wagner, tackle Terron Armstead, defensive end Trey Flowers, defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, and cornerback Joe Haden. Veteran former All-Pro receiver Julio Jones also became a free agent on Wednesday after the Tennessee Titans released him.
