New England Patriots

After signing six players to futures contracts on Monday, the Patriots added another player to the 2022 90-man roster on Tuesday. The team has announced the signing of offensive lineman Arlington Hambright to a futures contract.

Hambright originally entered the NFL as a seventh round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2020. He’d play nine games for the Bears that season, making one start. The team released him during final roster cuts this past summer, but promptly signed him to the practice squad where he spent the 2021 season.

Listed at 6-foot-5, 315 pounds, Hambright offers positional versatility having played tackle in college. In 2019, he started at left tackle for Colorado, playing opposite Patriots 2020 sixth-round pick William Sherman, who started at right tackle for the Buffaloes that year.

The Patriots have now signed seven players to futures contracts this week. Six have been on the offensive side of the ball, with kicker Quinn Nordin completing the list.
