The wildly shorthanded Celtics have some help on the way.

Down seven players due to the league's health and safety protocols, the Celtics have signed veteran wing C.J. Miles to a hardship exemption, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Boston's signing of Miles, who recently joined the G League's Ignite, has come with the 34-year-old already in town for testing, according to Woj.

Drafted with the No. 34 overall pick in 2005, Miles is a veteran of over 800 NBA games between the Jazz, Pacers, Cavaliers, Raptors, Grizzles, and Wizards, and averaged a career-best 14.5 points per game in 2014-15.

Should Miles draw into action with the C's, it will be the 6-foot-6 wing's first NBA appearance since Nov. 26, 2019.
