The Celtics have added forward Juan Hernangómez to the NBA’s health and safety COVID protocols, the team announced Friday afternoon. Hernangómez has played in 15 games for the Celtics this year, mainly in a reserve role.

Hernangómez is now the fourth Celtics player on the list. He joins Grant Williams and Al Horford, who were added Friday morning, and Jabari Parker, who was added Thursday night.

All four players will miss at least one game, Friday night’s matchup with the Golden State Warriors in Boston. Golden State also has players in the protocol, with guard Jordan Poole being added Friday morning as well.

This comes as cases are up across the NBA. There have been 12 players added to the protocol as of Friday afternoon, following 11 on Thursday and a record 13 on Tuesday. There have also been a handful of coaches in and out of the protocols this month.
