The Patriots made a trio of practice squad moves on Tuesday. Running back Devine Ozigbo and cornerback Thakarius ‘BoPete’ Keyes were signed, while defensive tackle Niles Scott was released. The moves were first reported by ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

Ozigbo had previously worked out for the Patriots earlier on Tuesday, according to Reiss. The 25-year-old entered the league as a UDFA in 2019 and has spent time with the Saints and Jaguars. In 21 career games he’s carried the ball 11 times for 25 yards, and caught 13 passes for 72 yards. He’ll provided the team added depth while J.J. Taylor is on COVID-IR.

Keyes was a seventh-round pick of the Chiefs in 2020. The 6-foot-1, 202 pound corner was released before roster cuts in 2021, and spent part of this fall on the Colts’ practice squad. He’s played in 12 NFL games in his career, mostly on special teams.

Scott had a brief stay with the Patriots, signing to the practice squad on Friday. Before coming to New England, he spent a month on the Titans’ practice squad.

With these moves the Patriots now have 15 players on their practice squad. That leaves them with one open spot.
