The Red Sox were a single strike away from potentially putting themselves in a great position in their 2021 American League Championship Series with the Astros.

But the Astros took advantage of their break (and then some with a seven-run ninth inning), and the stage has been set for a gigantic Game 5 at Fenway Park on Wednesday afternoon, as this best-of-seven has effectively become a best-of-three.

And that pivotal game will begin with Chris Sale on the hill as Alex Cora’s starter.
