The first injury report of the week ahead of Sunday’s Patriots-Cowboys game was released on Wednesday, and both teams were missing key players at practice. New England has 12 total players listed on the report – including three that did not participate – while Dallas has six players including two non-participants.
Starting running back Damien Harris (ribs) was among the three Patriots listed as DNPs. Harris left Sunday’s game against the Texans multiple times dealing with ribs and chest injuries. Guard Shaq Mason (abdomen) and cornerback Shaun Wade (concussion) also did not participate on Wednesday. The Patriots are also without starting offensive linemen Isaiah Wynn and Michael Onwenu, who remain on COVID-IR.

Eight of the nine players listed as ‘limited’ have been on the injury report for multiple weeks. That group is linebackers Ja’Whaun Bentley (shoulder), Kyle Van Noy (groin), and Ronnie Perkins (ankle), defensive backs Jalen Mills (hamstring), Jonathan Jones (ankle), Kyle Dugger (hamstring), and Cody Davis (knee), and kicker Nick Folk (left knee). The new addition to the report is offensive tackle Justin Herron (abdomen).
For Dallas, starting cornerback Trevon Diggs (ankle) did not participate in practice. The second-year cornerback out of Alabama currently leads the NFL in interceptions, with six through five games. Defensive end Dorance Armstrong (ankle) also missed practice.
Three players were limited for the Cowboys, including starting running back Ezekiel Elliot (ribs) and defensive end Randy Gregory (knee). Safety Donovan Wilson (groin), who hasn’t played since Week 1, was also included. Offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe (illness) is listed as a full participant.
