One month into the season, and injuries are starting to mount for the Patriots. The team listed 11 players on the first injury report of Week 5, including four who didn't practice on Wednesday.

Tackle Trent Brown (calf), guard Shaq Mason (abdomen), linebacker Kyle Van Noy (groin) and defensive lineman Henry Anderson (pec) were all held out of Wednesday's practice, with Anderson later being placed on IR. Brown has missed the last three games with his injury, while Van Noy has been playing through that groin injury for two weeks now. This is the first time Mason has appeared on the injury report this season.

In addition, the Patriots were without Isaiah Wynn and Michael Onwenu, after they were placed on the COVID-IR list on Tuesday. Center David Andrews was the only starting offensive lineman at Wednesday's practice.

The seven limited players were linebackers Ja'Whaun Bentley (shoulder) and Ronnie Perkins (ankle), defensive backs Jalen Mills (hamstring), Jonathan Jones (ankle), Kyle Dugger (hamstring), and Cody Davis (knee), and kicker Nick Folk (left knee).

Meanwhile the Texans had nine players on their injury report, including six who didn't practice. Among those held out were former Patriots running back Rex Burkhead (hip), tackle Marcus Cannon (back), and wide receiver Brandin Cooks (not injury related/rest). Receiver Danny Amendola (thigh) was questionable.
