Patriots host wide receiver and safety for free agent workouts
Wide receiver Devin Gray and safety Elijah Benton were in Foxborough to meet with the Patriots on Tuesday, according to the league’s transaction wire.

Scott Taetsch/Getty ImagesOn Tuesday the Patriots hosted a pair of players for free agent workouts. Wide receiver Devin Gray and safety Elijah Benton were in Foxborough to meet with the team, according to the league's transaction wire.
Gray spent the first three years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons, mainly on the practice squad. After spending training camp with the Baltimore Ravens, he spent the majority of the first month of the season on their practice squad.
Benton was signed by the Cleveland Browns last year as a UDFA out of Liberty. He was active for one game, playing seven special teams snaps. The team released him as part of final roster cuts this summer.
