Red Sox ace Chris Sale sums it up best after another letdown
Things are going south — and in a hurry — for the Boston Red Sox.
In Baltimore on the heels of a three-game sweep at the hands of the New York Yankees (and knocked out of the top wild card spot in the process), the Red Sox found themselves in a favorable spot against the hapless Orioles. But it most definitely didn’t play out that way on Tuesday, as the Red Sox found themselves on the wrong end of a 4-2 final at Camden Yards.
And Red Sox ace Chris Sale, who took the loss, summed it up best.
“Yeah, that f–king sucked,” Chris Sale after Red Sox lose to the 106-loss Orioles: "Yeah that fucking sucked. There’s no question. We have to win these games. That’s it. Any game we lose, that fucking sucks. Any game we win, we’re one step closer."
Chris Sale knows the value of this game, he was PISSED.

Boston’s latest loss, coupled with another Yankees win, has given the Bombers a two-game lead over the Red Sox for the top wild card spot in the American League. The ‘good’ news within the Yankees’ victory is that it came against the Blue Jays, which kept the Jays one game back of the Red Sox for the second wild card spot. The Mariners, however, did gain a game on the Red Sox on Tuesday night and are now one game behind Boston for the final wild card spot.
