N'Keal Harry at Patriots practice on Wednesday, as he gets ready to return from IR.

The Patriots’ offense could be added a much-needed red zone threat as early as this week. Wide receiver N’Keal Harry was present at practice on Wednesday, his first of the season after starting the year on IR.

After a promising showing in training camp, Harry injured his shoulder in the team’s second preseason game. He hasn’t practiced since.

Harry’s return to practice means the team has 21 days to officially activate him. They do currently have an open roster spot if the goal is for him to play this week against the Buccaneers. If he’s not added to the 53-man roster by the time that countdown ends, he’ll be ineligible to play for the remainder of the season.

On another personnel note, running back James White wasn’t spotted at the session. White injured his hip in Sunday’s loss to the Saints and is out ‘indefinitely.’ White was the only player missing from practice. We’ll know more on his status when the injury report is released Wednesday afternoon.
