As first reported by ESPN's Field Yates, the New England Patriots have signed kicker Nick Folk to the 53-man roster after he spent two weeks on the practice squad.

Folk went 4-for-4 on field goal attempts in the Patriots' 25-6 win over the New York Jets on Sunday, adding a 1-for-2 day on extra points. Folk is in the midst of a new franchise record for consecutive field goals converted, with 33 and counting.

The Patriots also recently signed quarterback Brian Hoyer to the 53-man roster, which opened up a spot on the practice squad. As reported by Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus, they're using it on 23-year-old center Drake Jackson.

Jackson came into the league as an undrafted rookie with the Detroit Lions, who waived him in August. He quickly signed to the Houston Texans, but was waived two weeks later.

Jackson played 47 career games at Kentucky, He joins OT Will Sherman, G Alex Redmond, and C/G James Ferentz as the third offensive lineman on the Patriots' practice squad.
