The 2021 NFL season is officially upon us, and got things started with a Thursday Night Football head-to-head between the Dallas Cowboys and reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.

In what was just the second ‘banner-raising’ ceremony for the Bucs in their franchise history, it was Tom Brady who led the charge, a 32-for-50 line for 379 yards and four touchdowns. Brady’s night included some vintage stuff, too, as he engineered a game-winning drive capped by Ryan Succop’s go-ahead field goal with just two seconds left in the fourth quarter.

The Bucs’ Rob Gronkowski flashed in this contest, too, with catches on all eight of his targets for 90 yards and two scores.

This contest also marked the return of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in what was his first game since suffering a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle in Week 5 last season. Prescott wowed, too, with over 400 passing yards and three touchdowns along with a 72.4 completion percentage (42 completions on 58 attempts).
