Patriots rule out wide receiver for Sunday, four players questionable
Before they’ve even played a game, the Patriots are noticeably banged up at the wide receiver position. In fact, two of the five players listed on Friday’s injury report play the position.
That includes newly-signed receiver Malcolm Perry, who was ruled out of Sunday’s game due to a foot injury. Hadn’t been listed on the injury report at all until Friday, when he was not spotted at practice.
In addition to Perry, four players are listed as ‘questionable,’ including WR Nelson Agholor (ankle), T Yodny Cajuste (hamstring), DB Jalen Mills (ankle), and LB Ronnie Perkins (shoulder). All four were limited at practice on Friday.
With Perry out and Agholor at the very least playing hurt, the Patriots find themselves thin at receiver. Jakobi Meyers, Kendrick Bourne, and Gunner Olszewski are the only three fully healthy receivers on the roster, with N’Keal Harry opening the season on IR due to a shoulder injury.
