PHOTOS: Patriots end preseason with win over Giants
For the first time since 2003, the Patriots will ride into the regular season coming off an undefeated preseason.
In East Rutherford, N.J. for their preseason finale against the New York Giants after a week of joint practices with Joe Judge’s squad, the Patriots made the necessary second-half adjustments and gutted out a 22-20 final.
It was the final push from a lot of the Patriots’ hopefuls, and came with some pushes forward (and backwards) for what’s emerged as a crowded locker room, but featured a steady diet of Mac Jones as the 2021 first-round pick shined yet again.
In what finished as a 10-for-14, 156-yard performance, Jones hooked up with Isaiah Zuber for his first touchdown of the preseason, and led both of the Patriots’ touchdown drives by the night’s end.
