N’Keal Harry speaks with media for first time since trade request
N’Keal Harry is one of the hardest players to project at this year’s Patriots training camp. He’s a first-round pick entering his third season, and despite struggling early in his career adds a dynamic to the wide receiver group no other player at the position does. In any other year, he’d be solidly in contention for a roster spot.
However just before camp it was reported that Harry has requested a trade, which included a statement from Harry’s agent seemingly blaming the Patriots for the 23-year-old’s lack of production. To this point, the Patriots have yet to act on that request with very little information leaking out about any potential negotiations.
Following Friday’s training camp practice, Harry spoke with Patriots media for the first time since the request was reported. However, he wasn’t eager to talk about his future.
“Right now I’m really not worried about anything trade-wise,” Harry replied when asked why he made the request to the team. “I’m focused on how to be the best version of myself on the field, going out there, working hard and improving every day.”
