Report: Celtics showing interest in Reggie Bullock
As Brad Stevens approaches his first free agency as the Celtics’ president of basketball operations, there’s a number of areas the team needs to focus on. They’re expected to try to add a new starting point guard, as well as find scoring options for the bench. The first rumor of the year directly linking them to a player relates to the latter.
On Thursday, Mark Berman of the New York Post reported the Celtics are one of a handful of teams interested in Knicks wing Reggie Bullock. Bullock is set to hit free agency next month, and the Knicks “could lose him to a division rival in free agency if they don’t step up,” Berman writes.
Bullock is coming off one of the most efficient seasons of his career, and played a key role in the Knicks’ improbable run to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. He shot 44.2 percent from the floor – the second best rate of his career – and 41 percent from three. Over 65 games he averaged 10.9 points and 3.4 rebounds while playing 30 minutes per night.
