The Red Sox were front and center during Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star Game. Their five players were the most from any American League team, and helped power the AL to a 5-2 win at Coors Field in Denver.

How did each of the Red Sox All-Stars contribute in the game? Here’s a quick look through the box score.

• Xander Bogaerts

  Hitting third and starting at shortstop, Xander Bogaerts finished 2-3 with an RBI. His lone out came in his first at-bat, when he was struck out my Max Scherzer - while the broadcast booth attempted to converse with him during a mic'ed up segment.

• Rafael Devers

  Share

  The Red Sox' other starter and AL's fifth hitter, Devers recorded one hit in two at-bats.

• J.D. Martinez

  Share

  Martinez was one of the first AL reserves to sub into the game, when he pinch hit for Shohei Ohtani in the fifth inning. The four-time All-Star went 0-2 with two strikeouts.
• Nathan Eovaldi

  Share

  Eovaldi threw a scoreless fourth inning, while allowing just one hit. He faced Nolan Arenado, Freddie Freeman, and Nick Castellanos - who he got to ground into a double play.

• Matt Barnes

  Share

  AL manager Kevin Cash used Barnes as the setup man with his team holding onto a three run lead. The NL managed to load the bases against him, but a sliding catch from Jared Walsh of the Angels helped the Red Sox closer escape unscathed.

It will be a quick turnaround for the Red Sox All-Stars. They’ll have just one day of rest as they return to the east coast, with the Sox beginning a four-game series with the Yankees in the Bronx on Thursday.
