The Bruins coaching staffs, both in Boston and in Providence, are going to need replacements.

Days after it was announced that Boston Bruins assistant Jay Pandolfo was leaving to join the staff at Boston University, the Providence Bruins confirmed that head coach Jay Leach is joining the expansion Seattle Kraken in the NHL. The Kraken also announced Leach’s hiring on Tuesday.

Leach will serve as an assistant for the Kraken under head coach Dave Hakstol, who previously served as head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers from 2015-18.

Pandolfo, meanwhile, will be an associate head coach at B.U. under head coach Albie O’Connell.
