Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers smashed a long single off the center field wall in the bottom of the ninth inning Monday night, walking Boston off with a 2-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park. You can watch the hit in the above video.

Devers launched a 95-mph fastball from Blue Jays reliever Rafael Dolis, who took his second loss in three appearances against the Red Sox during the series.

The 24-year-old went 4-for-12 with a triple and two RBIs in three games against Toronto in the series at Fenway, while only striking out once. He still has some work to do in June, slashing just .276/.304/.396 with just one home run in 56 plate appearances over 13 games.

But after the disaster that was Sunday's drubbing in Boston, and a blown save for Matt Barnes just a half-inning earlier, Devers' heroics on Monday night were most welcome.
