The Boston Bruins’ season may have ended in disappointing fashion in 2021. But the date of June 15 will always be special to the city, and on Tuesday the Bruins celebrate the 10th anniversary of winning the Stanley Cup on June 15, 2011.

You can watch the original celebration of the Bruins’ 2011 Cup win in the above video, thanks to the team’s Twitter account. The clip shows the closing seconds of a dominating Game 7 victory over the favored Vancouver Canucks, a 4-0 shutout for Conn Smythe trophy winner Tim Thomas.

The video below shows more highlights from the game, plus the handshake line and Zdeno Chara hoisting the Stanley Cup.

Despite the Bruins’ disappointing inability to close the deal on another Stanley Cup in the decade since that win, it’s certainly been better to be a Bruins fan in the past 10 years than, say, a Buffalo Sabres fan. It’s good to put things in perspective from time to time. And the 2011 championship will always be worth celebrating.
