Bill Belichick: big Bruins guy.
The Patriots head coach sat down for his latest Zoom conference with reporters on Friday morning, but took many off guard because he was wearing a Bruins hat. He then opened the Zoom with a message of support for the B’s the morning after they scored a clutch overtime win over the New York Islanders Thursday night.
“We’re behind ’em – go B’s,” Belichick said, which you can watch in the above clip from the Patriots’ Twitter account. “They’ve got a lot of big games coming up, so, wish them well. Coach Cassidy has done a great job there. They have a lot of great players. Love their style of play. So, just want to show our support.”
Friday was hardly the first time Belichick showed his support for another contending team in town. But he certainly made a point to show how much he has the Bruins’ back.
The Bruins have a 2-1 series lead over the Islanders. The two teams get back at it in Game 4 on Saturday, which you’ll be able to hear on 98.5 The Sports Hub starting with pregame coverage at 6:30 p.m.
