Kemba Walker, Robert Williams ‘unlikely’ to play in Game 4
UPDATE: The Celtics have officially ruled both Kemba Walker and Robert Williams out for Game 4.
Coming off the momentum of their Game 3 win over the Brooklyn Nets, the Celtics are looking to even up their first round playoff series on Sunday night. However, it looks like they’ll have to do so without two key players.
During Brad Stevens’ pregame press availability, he informed the media that Kemba Walker and Robert Williams are both ‘unlikely’ to play in Game 4. Walker appeared on the injury report before Game 3, but ended up playing 34 minutes. Williams left the game after playing just 11 minutes and did not return.
Walker is dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee, the same knee that has bothered him since last season. Williams sprained his ankle Friday night. That injury is compounded by the fact he’s been dealing with turf toe on the same foot since the end of the regular season.
