Celtics fans hoping to see Evan Fournier make his debut Saturday night will have to wait. Fournier is one of five players ruled out for tonight’s game, according to the team’s injury report.

Fournier joins Tristan Thompson and Romeo Langford in the league’s health & safety protocol. That designation is used for players who cannot play due to a positive COVID test or potential exposure to the virus. It’s not immediately apparent how long Fournier may remain on the list.

The team will also be without Semi Ojeleye (left side strain) and Kemba Walker (left knee injury management). That leaves the Celtics with just 12 active players.

Boston was shorthanded on Friday as well, with a number of reserves such as Grant Williams and Tacko Fall seeing premium minutes. Saturday could present a similar opportunity, as the Celtics face the 19-25 Oklahoma City Thunder.
