The New England Patriots are finalizing a four-year deal with free-agent defensive tackle Lawrence Guy to return to the team. ESPN’s Mike Reiss first reported the news on Wednesday, adding that the deal is pending a physical.
Guy has been a pillar of the Patriots’ defensive front since first signing with the team in 2017. He played in 62 of a possible 64 games over the past four seasons, starting 60 of them. He’s logged 235 total tackles on the Patriots’ defensive interior, adding seven sacks and 27 quarterback hits as one of their most versatile pieces.
The Patriots may still not be done adding in free agency, though. Scroll down for a rundown of the most notable names still available.
