In an Instagram post that became widely shared across social media Tuesday night, prominent Texas attorney Tony Buzbee stated he has filed a lawsuit against Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. FOX 26 in Houston has reported that the sexual assault suit was filed on behalf of a female masseuse.
Buzbee doesn’t name a specific accusation in his post, but mentions “too many times women have put up with behavior that we all know no one should put up with,” and that the suit “is about dignity and stopping behavior that should be stopped.”

About an hour after Buzbee’s Instagram post, Watson responded via Twitter. Watson denied the allegations saying he has “never treated any woman with anything other than the upmost respect.” He went on to question Buzbee’s motives, saying “the plaintiff’s lawyer claims that this isn’t about money, but before filing suit he made a baseless six-figure settlement demand.”
According to one of Buzbee’s old Instagram posts, he is or was neighbors with former Texans owner Bob McNair. After McNair’s death in 2018, his wife Janice assumed ownership of the franchise, with their son Cal taking over as CEO.
As of Tuesday evening, there’s been no comment from local authorities on any potential investigation. The NFL and the Houston Texans have yet to comment on the matter.
This is a developing story, and will be updated…
