Update: The below list is now updated for Wednesday, as 2021 NFL free agency is set to officially begin.

There are still plenty of notable free agents available as the NFL gears up for day 2 of legal tampering. We’re less than 36 hours away from the start of the 2021 league year with a lot of big names remaining in the pool.

The Patriots, however, have already made their splash. We’ll see if they have another big move in them, but they moved quickly to land their top free-agent targets on both offense and defense with former Titans tight end Jonnu Smith and former Ravens linebacker Matthew Judon.

Bill Belichick was far from done there. Followers did their best to keep up with the Patriots’ dizzying splurge, as Belichick agreed to deals with a whopping seven free agents from outside the organization. He also retained defensive linemen Deatrich Wise and Carl Davis, and re-signed quarterback Cam Newton and special teams ace Justin Bethel before the legal tampering period began.

The Patriots appear to have structured most, if not all, of their free-agent contracts to mitigate the strain on the cap in 2021. So it’s possible that Belichick isn’t done adding talent at close to the top of a given market. And if not the Patriots, teams around the league will be landing some legitimate players. Here are the most notable names still available.
