Sunday’s outdoor head-to-head between the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers has been given a new start time for the second time in three days.
Originally scheduled for 3 p.m, and moved to 2 p.m. on Thursday, tomorrow’s contest will now get underway at 7:30 p.m. EST (4:30 p.m. in Lake Tahoe).
The announcement was made with the Avalanche and Golden Knights, who are playing at the venue today, in the middle of a delay due to ice conditions and with the sun creating visibility problems as well. Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron, whose team was forced to move indoors for today’s practice, noted that the Bruins were informed of the decision earlier this morning.
This is the Bruins’ fourth outdoor game since 2010, and their first since the 2019 Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium. The Bruins are 2-1-0 in outdoor games.
