Sunday’s outdoor meeting between the Bruins and Flyers at Lake Tahoe will be moved up an hour, from 3 p.m. to 2 p.m. Boston time, the NHL announced in a release Thursday.

According to the NHL’s release, the decision was made “due to Sunday’s forecast of sunlight with no cloud cover and in the interest of Player safety.”

That will make it an 11 a.m. puck-drop for those in Nevada, of course, which makes this the Bruins’ earliest game since last year’s Game 1 against the Hurricanes, which also had an 11 a.m. start.

The Bruins have captured victories in all four of their 2021 head-to-heads to date with Philly, and have outscored the Flyers 16-to-9 over that four-game series.
