The Bruins delivered a win in a wild one against the Flyers on Thursday night. It was also a resurgence of the “T&R Bump,” as frequent Toucher and Rich guest Jake DeBrusk scored the eventual winning goal in Boston’s 5-4 shootout win.
Watch above for the goal, in which DeBrusk fakes a shot to the right before flipping a change-up over the shoulder of Flyers goalie Carter Hart. It’s the kind of goal you’d only see in a shootout – maybe a breakaway with no one hear him – but it was a great move nonetheless, and the only one that found the back of the net in the shootout.
DeBrusk remains without a point in regulation in four games, even as he’s gotten time on the top line with Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. But his game-winner in the shootout could be a sign that he’s about to heat up.
Listen below for DeBrusk’s interview on Toucher and Rich from Thursday, the origin of the latest T&R bump.
