Brad Marchand got the Bruins on the board for the first time in the 2020-21 season with a goal against the New Jersey Devils in the season opener on Thursday night at Prudential Center. You can watch the goal above via

Marchand scored with just 2:10 left in the first period on a Bruins power play. The play started with David Krejci disrupting a breakout pass and Patrice Bergeron feeding it back to him. Krejci threaded it to the net and Marchand buried the one-timer weak-side.

Boston out-shot New Jersey 16-4 in the first period. The Bruins had three high-danger scoring chances, compared to just one for the Devils, according to Natural Stat Trick.
