Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore had to leave Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins in the second quarter with a knee injury. The team later announced on Twitter that Gilmore is doubtful to return to the game in the second half.
Gilmore suffered the non-contact injury while covering Dolphins wideout Mack Hollins, slipping awkwardly to the turf and quickly clutching his right knee. He walked off the field with the help of trainers after being checked in the blue medical tent on the sidelines.

Gilmore missed three games earlier in the 2020 season, also with a knee injury. He logged an interception, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and 35 total tackles in 10 games prior to Sunday.
The Patriots led the Dolphins 6-0 at halftime at Hard Rock Stadium.
