Following his game-winning field goal Monday night, Nick Folk is getting recognition from the league.

On Wednesday, Folk was announced as the NFL’s Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 9.

Against the Jets, Folk hit all three of his field goal attempts. The kicks game from 29 yards, 45 yards, and the game-winner from 51 yards. He also hit all three extra points, accounting for 12 of the Patriots 30 points.

On the season, Folk has hit 14 of his 16 field goal attempts, and is 14-of-15 on extra points. His 87.5 field goal percentage would be the best he’s had in a season since 2013. The 51-yard game-winner is his longest kick of the year.

This is the third time Folk has won the award – he did so twice in 2013. He’s the first Patriot to win a Player of the Week award in 2020. Jake Bailey took the Special Teams POTW award home twice last season.
