The New England Patriots continued to look like one battered unit Friday, with 17 players in total listed on their injury report ahead of their Monday Night Football head-to-head with the New York Jets.

Beginning with the good news, Friday’s session did come with the return of cornerback Stephon Gilmore (knee), defensive lineman Lawrence Guy (shoulder, elbow, and knee), and safety/special teamer Carl Davis (concussion) as limited participants after the trio were DNPs on Thursday afternoon.

Gilmore missed last week’s meeting with the Bills due to that knee issue, while Guy departed in the 24-21 loss.

But their returns came with a departure, as offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn missed Friday’s practice after an ankle injury saw him partake in Thursday’s activities as a limited participant. Wynn has been the Patriots’ most utilized offensive lineman this year, on the field for over 97 percent of the team’s offensive snaps this season.

Wynn joined a DNP group also featuring wideout N’Keal Harry (concussion) and rookie running back J.J. Taylor (illness).

On the offensive side of the ball, limited participants included running back Damien Harris (ankle), tight ends Ryan Izzo (hamstring) and Dalton Keene (knee), and linemen Shaq Mason (calf) and Joe Thuney (ankle).

On defense, defensive ends John Simon (elbow) and Deatrich Wise (knee, hand), linebackers Ja’Whaun Bentley (groin), Shilique Calhoun (knee), and cornerback J.C. Jackson (knee) were also limited.

The Patriots will have one final injury report ahead of their primetime tilt.
