Working on a cold rainy day behind Gillette Stadium, Cam Newton and the Patriots’ quarterbacks went through footwork drills during the media portion of practice on Thursday.

Newton’s fundamentals have come under question after two lackluster performances. In a wet and windy environment like Buffalo will be on Sunday, pocket movement and general awareness will be key.
Backup quarterbacks Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer are also seen going through the drill with Newton. Practice squad quarterback Jake Dolegala was elsewhere throwing to receivers.
