The Patriots continued to successfully avoid a coronavirus spread through their locker room Monday, with all of the COVID-19 tests administered to the Patriots’ traveling party to Kansas City coming back negative, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Given what happened with the Tennessee Titans, this is kind of amazing.
The Patriots certainly took extra precautions entering Monday’s contest, taking two separate planes to Kansas City. One of those planes contained about 20 players who were in close contact with the 31-year-old, according to ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio. (The Patriots did something similar last year when their team went through the flu bug.)
But the Patriots are simply following the guidelines set forth by the doctors, according to Bill Belichick.
“I think we’ve done everything right I think we’re supposed to do,” Belichick said after the team’s 26-10 loss to the Chiefs. “So it’s in the hands of the medical people here.”
Good hands, too, it’d appear.
