The Patriots injury report grew on Thursday, with Stephon Gilmore (Hamstring) and Dalton Keene (Neck) added after not being listed on Wednesday.
Of the five other players listed, three were limited. That included Cassh Maluia (Knee), who did not practice yesterday. Chase Winovich (Shoulder) also is making progress, going from limited yesterday to ‘full participation’ today. Receivers Julian Edelman (Knee) and Gunner Olszewski (Foot) were limited for the second day in a row.
The lone ‘DNP’ for the Patriots on Thursday was second year tackle Yodny Cajuste (Knee). It was announced after practice that the team is placing Cajuste on IR, meaning he won’t be available until at least Week 4. The West Virginia product missed his rookie year recovering from quad surgery.
Now the question becomes what the Patriots do with their open roster spot. With the game just three days away, will it to go one of the kickers on the practice squad? Or will the team recall a wide receiver with both Edelman and Olszewski banged up?
