Earlier this summer, we learned that Bill Belichick is doing commercial work for SUBWAY. We finally have our first look at Belichick hawking sandwiches, which you can watch in the above video.
It’s simple enough: man has food. Belichick gives him “The Look.” Man apologizes for not having a SUBWAY sandwich. Belichick cuts man’s sleeves off. A perfectly normal human interaction. The sight of Belichick busting out the scissors is good for a chuckle.
“When Subway reached out, shared the Footlong Season campaign objectives and the ideas for the commercial, I decided the timing was right to have some fun and enjoy some sandwiches,” said Belichick, through a press release.
I’m told this is only the first of a series of SUBWAY ads featuring Belichick, and there will be videos featuring the Watt brothers as well throughout the season. And in case you were wondering, that familiar voice at the end is NFL Hall of Famer and Barstool Sports personality Deion Sanders.
An earlier photo showed Belichick chomping on a sandwich while sitting on a bench, so that will have to come into play at some point in these commericals. But for a man who is decidedly not an actor, Belichick does a pretty good job. See folks, he’s not such a bad guy!
Alright, back to football. We’ve got the Patriots covered for you all season long here on 985TheSportsHub.com.
