Even with their 2020 training camp in full swing, the New England Patriots brought in four wide receivers for a tryout with the team on Wednesday, according to the league's transaction wire.

That group included Andre Baccellia, Greg Dortch, Tony Gaiter IV, and Matthew Sexton.

And among that foursome, Dortch is the only player with any prior NFL experience, having returned five kicks (23.8 yards per return) and four punts (seven yards per return) in a two-game run with the Panthers in 2019. The 5-foot-7 Dortch was most recently with the Rams, spending time on their practice squad before signing a futures contract, but was waived late last month.

Dortch reportedly visited with the Buccaneers prior to his trip to Foxborough.

Baccellia made his way to Patriot Place following his departure from the Chiefs last week. An undrafted free agent signing, Baccellia caught 29 balls for 314 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games for the University of Washington last year.

Gaiter IV, whose father was a sixth-round pick of the Patriots back in 1997, is looking to make his mark on the pro game after a collegiate career that included 120 catches, 1,264 yards, and seven touchdowns in 48 games at Florida International University. Gaiter IV, who can also play some running back, was a 2019 All-Conference USA Honorable Mention.

Sexton, meanwhile, set career-highs in yards (508) and touchdowns (four) in 11 games for Eastern Michigan.
