Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore has been absent at recent Patriots practices, but not due to an injury. According to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald, Gilmore is tending to a “personal matter.”

The 2019 Defensive Player of the Year missed Wednesday and Thursday’s practices in Foxboro, along with several others.

Absences hit double-digits on Friday. Gilmore and wide receiver N’Keal Harry continued to be absent, along with safety Adrian Phillips, tackle Yodny Cajuste, defensive end Derek Rivers, defensive lineman Tashawn Bower, defensive tackle Beau Allen, and running backs Sony Michel and Lamar Miller.
