N’Keal Harry among eight Patriots not spotted at Wednesday’s practice

The number of Patriots players missing practice continues to rise, from five on Monday, to six on Tuesday, and now eight on Wednesday.
Included in the new absences is 2019 first-round pick N’Keal Harry. After missing time his rookie year due to injuries, the Patriots expect to heavily rely on Harry in 2020 for his size and after the catch ability.
Also missing was fourth-year defensive end Derek Rivers. A third-round pick in 2017, Rivers has spent two of his three NFL seasons on IR, and has played just six NFL games, all coming in 2018. Many viewed him as a bubble player entering camp due to his injury history, expiring contract, and the number of young players the Patriots have brought in at his position.
Of the other six absences, receiver Jeff Thomas, defensive tackle Beau Allen, linebacker Anfernee Jennings, and running backs Sony Michel and Lamar Miller have yet to see the field at training camp. Edge rusher Tashawn Bower practiced Monday, but not Tuesday.
Michel and Miller are currently on PUP, while no reason has been given for the other six abcenses.
