The water has boiled, and Boston’s ‘Pasta’ is ready, as Bruins winger David Pastrnak will suit up for Wednesday’s Game 5 against the Carolina Hurricanes after missing three straight playoff tilts with an “unfit to participate” designation.

The 24-year-old Pastrnak was given a ‘better’ chance of playing in Game 5, according to Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy, and after participating in the pregame warmup, No. 88 is indeed ready to go.

Pastrnak scored the B’s first goal of the postseason, and assisted on Patrice Bergeron’s double-overtime winner.

With Pastrnak back, Anders Bjork will sit as the B’s healthy scratch.

Jaroslav Halak gets the call in the Boston net. Halak stopped 16-of-19 in a 4-3 win in Game 4, and will look to hammer the nail in Carolina’s coffin. Halak is 6-2 with a .953 save percentage in eight career knockout games.

The Hurricanes will turn back to Petr Mrazek in net.

Here’s the complete lines and pairings for the Bruins…

Brad Marchand – Patrice Bergeron – David Pastrnak

Jake DeBrusk – David Krejci – Ondrej Kase

Sean Kuraly – Charlie Coyle – Jack Studnicka

Joakim Nordstrom – Par Lindholm – Chris Wagner

Zdeno Chara – Charlie McAvoy

Torey Krug – Brandon Carlo

Matt Grzelcyk – Connor Clifton

Jaroslav Halak
